Our Women’s Intercultural Book Groups match native English speakers with small groups of international women to read and discuss literature. These book group meetings offer internationals opportunities to read varied materials in English, practice English informally, and provide a forum for intercultural dialogue and social interaction.
On September 4th, 2019, almost 50 members of our community attended the kick off meeting to learn about the new structure of Global Connections. More than half of the participants registered to become members and everyone was given a chance to write about how they ambition the new Global Connections to function in order to satisfy the interests of our community.

The cuisine of Myanmar is not as popular in the United States as it is the culinary of its neighbors Thailand and India. This is why we wanted to bring exquisite treats of Myanmar (also known as Burma) to our GC table.
On April 25th, you will taste a mixture of exotic flavors such as coconut and curry combined with the core ingredient of the Myanmar Cuisine, rice.
